When leaders are in transition, coaching is a unique and effective means of support. Done well, it creates the space necessary for the relinquishing of time-tested behaviors in order to discover, practice, and develop the qualities and skills for the successful achievement of one’s ambition.

Coaching is a process that serves a client well when it has a beginning, middle and end.

Recent Case
Engaged by a newly promoted executive of a cable network that is part of a multi-billion dollar entertainment company. Moving from functional leader to chief executive placed the client with an inherited leadership team of former peers and a new set of stakeholder expectations across the companies. Rejecting common models of leadership that promote heroism and loyalty; we focused on the (industry-relevant) themes of engagement and commitment while developing the skills and standing necessary for success in the company’s culture. The objectives for the engagement were to learn the language of strategy, develop strategic thinking, engage the executive team in strategy development, and to build relationships and leadership presence within the parent company. The process evolved over twelve months and included one-on-one coaching, integral practices, meeting design support, and a multi-day strategy retreat with the entire leadership team.
